What do you think it was like for Adam and Eve in the Garden? Did Adam and Eve have things to do and things to enjoy? If the new heaven and earth were similar, would that mean we would have things to do and things to enjoy?

Cut out pictures and words from old magazines and other periodicals and use them to make a collage of what you imagine the new heaven and earth might be like.

Discipleship Mentoring

PARENTS/FACILITATORS
Give kids the opportunity to share what they have written in their journals and to ask any lingering questions. If you don’t know the answer to a question, look it up together with the child. Specific instructions for this time are outlined below.
STEP 1
Meet with each child individually. And ask the following questions:
  • How did your Quiet Times go this week?
  • What did you feel like God was telling you this week? (They can share their answers from their Quiet Time Response Guide if they want to - don’t pressure them).
  • What questions did you have this week about the lessons or from your quiet times that haven’t been answered yet?
  • Has this been a good week for you? Why or why not?
  • What was your favorite thing that you learned this week?
STEP 2
Give them a stamp or sticker in their journal for work well done today.
STEP 3
Give them their Mom/Dad and Me Journal. Ask them if they would like to continue writing notes with you in this journal now that our ten week program is complete.
