Art supplies (markers, crayons, colored pencils,etc.). Read ICJH Chapter 19: What the Bible Teaches About Creation (Click here to open Amazon's Kindle Cloud Reader) As you watch today’s video, write your thoughts and questions in your journal.

Creation (Genesis 1-2) (~4 min; a cute animated version from Saddleback Kids)

Draw the seven days of creation in your journal. Write down in your own words the answers to the questions in ICJH Ch 19 at the beginning of the section called “How Many Choices Are There?” Do you think the days of creation were 24 hours or not? What pieces of evidence do people on each side of this discussion present? Ask kids to share what they have written in their journals and give them time to ask all of their questions. If you don’t know the answer, look it up together. Give kids a stamp or sticker in their journal when you are finished.

Read Matthew Ch. 27:11-26 As you watch today’s video, be sure to write in your journal what you learn as well as writing down any questions you have.

Did Jesus Really Exist? (~5 min)

Read the following article and make a list in your journal of the evidence that Jesus existed. Be sure to also write down any questions you have.

Read the complete article to children or read excerpts. Help children to make a list of evidence. Ask kids to share what they have written in their journals and give them time to ask all of their questions. If you don’t know the answer, look it up together. Give kids a stamp or sticker in their journal when you are finished.

Heaven & Earth | The Bible Project (~7 min)

What do you think it was like for Adam and Eve in the Garden? Did Adam and Eve have things to do and things to enjoy? If the new heaven and earth were similar, would that mean we would have things to do and things to enjoy? Cut out pictures and words from old magazines and other periodicals and use them to make a collage of what you imagine the new heaven and earth might be like. Ask kids to share what they have written in their journals and give them time to ask all of their questions. If you don’t know the answer, look it up together. Give kids a stamp or sticker in their journal when you are finished.

1 Corinthians Ch. 13 Journal - Use the Quiet Time Response Guide to respond to today’s Bible reading/lesson.

Give kids the opportunity to share what they have written in their journals and to ask any lingering questions. If you don’t know the answer to a question, look it up together with the child. Specific instructions for this time are outlined below. Meet with each child individually. And ask the following questions:

• How did your Quiet Times go this week?
• What did you feel like God was telling you this week? (They can share their answers from their Quiet Time Response Guide if they want to - don’t pressure them).
• What questions did you have this week about the lessons or from your quiet times that haven’t been answered yet?
• Has this been a good week for you? Why or why not?
• What was your favorite thing that you learned this week?

Give them a stamp or sticker in their journal for work well done today. Give them their Mom/Dad and Me Journal. Ask them if they would like to continue writing notes with you in this journal now that our ten week program is complete.
